At the ACHEMA 2015 SMS presented the results of the very first computation of a thin film evaporator including heat and mass transfer. Since that time a lot of development work was done and CFD became more and more important in trouble shooting, development and design of SMS’ products.
Based on that and the fact that CFD addresses some important customer’s needs and the demand of our clients is increasing, we decided to implement CFD in a group within SMS.
